Spring is upon us, and with it comes much more than just daffodils and tulips. The spring and summer are a time when we see many announcements for benefit walks: cancer, multiple sclerosis, birth defects, juvenile diabetes, and more.
If you like to walk, or you want to show your support for a specific cause, walking is a great way to raise money for a needy organization while getting yourself some fresh air and exercise. Here are some considerations to think about as “walking” season approaches.
Choosing the right walk for you
Many people choose a walk based on the cause. If you’ve lost a relative to breast cancer, have a child with juvenile diabetes or birth defects, or know someone suffering from a disease such as multiple sclerosis, then you may want to walk to show your support for someone you care about.
